GitHub App Setup

RepoMedic operates as a GitHub App. Follow these steps to configure the webhook:

  1. Create a GitHub App at github.com/settings/apps
  2. Set the Webhook URL to http://localhost:8000/api/webhook/github
  3. Generate a Webhook Secret and set GITHUB_WEBHOOK_SECRET in the backend's .env
  4. Enable permissions: Issues (read), Pull Requests (write), Contents (write)
  5. Subscribe to events: Issues, Issue comment
  6. Install the app on your target repositories and register them in the Repositories tab.
